1. Shipping Carrier:

We primarily utilize Courier Guy for all our shipping needs within South Africa.

2. Shipping Options & Delivery Times (South Africa):

• National Deliveries:
  • Overnight Courier: Delivery typically within 1-2 business days.
  • Economy Road Freight: Delivery typically within 3-5 business days.

Please note that delivery times are estimates and may vary depending on the destination and unforeseen circumstances. Orders are typically processed and dispatched within 2 business days after order confirmation.

3. Shipping Costs (South Africa):

Shipping costs are calculated based on the weight and dimensions of your order, as well as the shipping method selected. You will be able to view the shipping costs at checkout before completing your purchase.   

• We may offer free shipping for orders over a certain value within South Africa. Please see our website banner or promotions page for details.
• For expedited shipping options like Same Day Express, the cost will be calculated based on your specific location and urgency. Please contact us for a quotation.
  

4. Packaging:

We take great care in packaging your jewellery to ensure its safe arrival:

• Each piece of jewellery is individually wrapped.
• It is then placed in our branded jewellery packaging (pouch or box).
• The branded packaging is secured within a sturdy inner box with cushioning materials to prevent movement.
• Finally, the inner box is placed in a plain, unbranded outer box or mailer for discreet shipping.
• For delicate items, we may use additional protective measures.

5. Insurance (South Africa):

• Courier Guy provides automatic liability coverage up to R1000.
• For items valued above R1000, you have the option to purchase additional insurance at a rate of 2% of the declared value exceeding R1000. This option will be available at checkout.
• We highly recommend purchasing additional insurance for valuable jewellery to protect against loss or damage during transit.

6. Signature on Delivery (South Africa):

For security and peace of mind, all our shipments within South Africa require a signature upon delivery. Please ensure that someone will be available at the delivery address to sign for the package.

7. Tracking Your Order (South Africa):

Once your order has been shipped, you will receive a confirmation email containing your Courier Guy tracking number. You can use this number to track the progress of your delivery on the Courier Guy website: [https://thecourierguy.co.za/tracking]

8. International Shipping:

We do not offer international shipping at this time. Once it is active, Please note the following:

• You, the customer, are responsible for any import duties, local taxes, and other fees levied by the customs authorities in your country.

• For international shipments of gold jewellery, we comply with South Africa's Precious Metals Act and ensure all necessary documentation is included.
